March & April Book of the Month
For the first time, we have TWO great books for our Book of the Month. Marvelous Cornelius: Hurricane Katrina and the Spirit of New Orleans tells about a character who lived in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. It is paired with a non-fiction book about extreme weather and natural disasters. Second graders will be researching extreme weather and then you can participate in the 2018 7th Annual Globe Spark! Lab Invent it Challenge, by designing an innovative way for people to prepare BEFORE a natural disaster, stay safe DURING one or recover AFTERWARDS.
