Engineering: Patterns in the night sky


IMPORTANT:  April 10 & 11 are STAAR testing days. 

No visitors will be allowed in the building on those days.


March & April Book of the Month

We are excited to share two inventions that have been submitted by 4 of our 2nd graders!  We are so proud of these girls, and their families, for taking the initiative to participate in this challenge.  If your child has turned in their plan for the challenge, final videos and prototypes will be due Friday, April 6.

Ready Rosie

Look in your child's folder this week for information about an exciting new opportunity we have for you and your family called Ready Rosie.  This is a video resource for parents to help you integrate fun learning activities with your every day activities.  Look for an email coming April 1st!

March & April Book of the Month

For the first time, we have TWO great books for our Book of the Month.  Marvelous Cornelius: Hurricane Katrina and the Spirit of New Orleans tells about a character who lived in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. It is paired with a non-fiction book about extreme weather and natural disasters.  Second graders will be researching extreme weather and then you can participate in the 2018 7th Annual Globe Spark! Lab Invent it Challenge, by designing an innovative way for people to prepare BEFORE a natural disaster, stay safe DURING one or recover AFTERWARDS.  Check out Mrs. Wagner's Book of the Month Resources below.

5:30 pm - 7 pm

Come and visit the classroom and let your scholar show you the engineering we have done this semester.  The Book Fair will also be open during this time.
